Which Herbalife Program Is Right For You?

A plain-English guide to choosing, from an Independent Herbalife Distributor in New Zealand

Herbalife sells a lot of products. If you're standing at the start of it, the range is confusing — and most guides online are either sales pitches or price lists. This one is neither. Below is how we actually decide what to recommend to someone who walks into our studio in Lower Hutt.

Step 1: Pick your goal, not your product

Almost everyone falls into one of four groups.

You want to manage your weight

Start with a meal replacement shake and build from there. The core is Formula 1 Nutritional Shake Mix — one or two shakes a day replacing meals, with one balanced meal of your own.

  • Testing the water: 3 Day Trial Pack — the cheapest way to find out whether you like the taste and the routine before committing.
  • Ready to commit: Quickstart Program — Formula 1, Formula 2 multivitamin, Cell-U-Loss, Active Fibre Complex and NRG, plus a free coaching plan. This is the most common first order.
  • Want the full stack: Advanced Program or Ultimate Program add tea, aloe and protein for appetite control and hydration.

You want more energy through the day

Energy complaints are usually hydration, blood sugar or breakfast — in that order.

You train and want to perform and recover better

The Herbalife24 line is built for this and is banned-substance tested.

You just want better daily nutrition

No weight goal, no training goal — you just eat badly on weekdays and know it.

Step 2: Work out the daily cost, not the sticker price

A tub of Formula 1 looks expensive next to a box of cereal. It isn't a fair comparison — a 550g tub is 21 servings. Divide the price by the servings and compare it to what you'd otherwise spend on that meal. Most people find a shake breakfast costs less than the café coffee and muffin it replaces.

This is the single most useful thing you can do before ordering, and it's why we'd rather talk to you first than sell you a program you'll abandon in three weeks.

Step 3: Start smaller than you think

The most common mistake we see is a big first order that sits half-used in a cupboard. Buy the trial pack or a single tub. Find out whether you'll actually drink it every morning. Then scale up.

Step 4: Build the reorder habit

A tub of Formula 1 lasts roughly 21–30 days depending on how you use it. The people who get results are the ones who never run out. When you order from us we'll check in before you're empty — see Monthly Essentials for what most people reorder.

Still not sure?

That's normal. Book a free 15-minute consultation and we'll narrow it down with you. It costs nothing and there's no obligation to buy.
